Creating an Edmodo account
1. Open a web browser and navigate to
www.edmodo.com

- an accurate email account address
- basic personal information

– Error messages will appear on form asking for information to be corrected before allowing the user to move forward
The Learner will apply their personal information to the

”
choice in Edmodo to create an account.
Instruct students in creating an Edmodo account
1. Learner should create a group by choosing the
“
create
”
option in the groups section on the left of the screen.
2. Obtain group code by clicking on the group name. The
“
Group Code
”
will appear on the right of the screen in a dark blue box. Write this code down.
3. Instruct students to open web browser and navigate to
www.edmodo.com
4. Instruct students to choose

I'm a Student
”
choice.
5. Using the group code for your group, students should fill in their personal information and choose
“
sign up
”
when done.

- follow appropriate prompts for downloading and print spreadsheet for computer being used and provide appropriate code to parent of student

option shown on webpage.
4. Learner should instruct parent to fill in form with their personal information and choose

Posting Messages in Edmodo
1. From the Edmodo Home page, the Learner should locate the

section found at the top of the page.
2. Learner should then decide what type of message they would like to post and click on the icon associated with their choice
3. Learner should then fill in the information asked for depending on the type of posting chosen
4. Learner should chose which group(s) to send the posting to by typing the group name in the
“
Send to...
”
area that will appear

Creating and sending assignments to Groups using Edmodo
1. From the Edmodo Home page, Learner should locate the Assignment text link on the left side of the window.
2. Give the assignment a name and description.
3. Assign a due date for the assignment to be finished and turned in.
4. Click the File button to open the File Upload window.
4. Locate the assignment.
5. Designate the Group to send the assignment to.
6. Click the Send button to send the Assignment to the designated Group.

1. Assignment will not upload correctly.

Add events/ assignments to Edmodo calendar
1. From the Edmodo home page, Learner should locate the Calendar text link at the top of their Edmodo account page.
2. Choose the correct month and year for event from the month and year drop-down boxes.
2. Choose a date for an event.
3. Learner will describe the event and select groups to send event to.
4. Event will be created after all information is entered and submitted.
-which Group the student is in so they can locate events for that Group.
